The Air Force Special Operations Command has canceled plans to purchase 2,861 iPad 2 tablets, which were intended for use as Electronic Flight Bags for AFSOC aircrew members. The decision appears to be linked to plans to utilize GoodReader software, which is developed in Russia. The original procurement documentation specifically lists support for this app as a requirement:
