The Calvetica ($2.99) developers have managed to release a major update in the time it takes or most others apps to fix a login bug. I don’t know how they did it, but I’m sure that liberal use of their own fantastic scheduling software couldn’t have hurt.

Game Center is almost out in consumers' hands, but that hasn't stopped the folks at OpenFeint from pushing forward on their unofficial social network for gamers. PlayTime is a newly-announced feature of the third-party social networking software that will allow players on both iOS and Android to play in real-time with each other, and even use voice chat while doing that.

While I mentioned Apple’s big plans for devices yesterday, there is some equally big news for software. Steve Jobs announced the improvements that will be made for iTunes 10, most notably of which will be the addition of Ping, a social network based on music. Ping will just be a part of iTunes that users can choose to use or not use, and will enable people not only to see what activities their friends are engaging in on iTunes, but also see how their favorite celebs use iTunes.

iTunes 10 unveiled, more iPhone 4.1 rumors, Epic making Fable for iPhone

Yesterday was the big Apple event and out of it came iTunes 10. The new software adds features like a music social network and naturally supports the iPhone.

I mentioned yesterday that rumors were circulating about a new iPhone 4 coming with a redesigned antenna. We have more of those rumors surfacing today claiming a redesigned case is the big change for the rumored update.

Epic games is working on an iPhone version of its popular video game called Fable. The game is a first person adventure title and was revealed at a press conference in London.
